Hint: Before solving this question, first we have to understand the term supersaturated solution. When the concentration of a solute exceeds the concentration, which is specified with the value of equilibrium solubility it is known as supersaturated solution.

Complete step by step answer:
- Solute is the chemical substance which dissolves in the substance. Solvent is in a generally liquid or gaseous state in which the solute dissolves to form a solution. In simple language we can say that, when more amount of solute is dissolved in the solvent which it can naturally hold. The solution is known as supersaturated solution.
- Supersaturated solutions are prepared when we dissolve compounds in water. For example- if we add sugar to water, we have to first dissolve the sugar in water at an elevated temperature using enough to give a concentration just enough its solubility at that particular temperature. After this the last of the solute crystals have dissolved in the solution and cooled. This means that the supersaturated solution contains more quantity of solute than a saturated solution. And when we cool a supersaturated solution the crystals get separated from the solution.

Note: A saturated solution is a solution which contains the maximum amount of solute which is capable of being dissolved in the solution. On the other hand, unsaturated solution is the solution which the amount of solvent which dissolves in the solute is less than that of the value of equilibrium solubility.
