Hint: Skeleton of an organism means the way the bones, cartilages and other tissues are organized in such a way that the organism is able to move different parts of the body and also help in the locomotion. It mainly consists of bones and the connected bones of an organism, as a whole, is called the skeletal system.

Complete Answer:
Skeletal system consists of many organized bones such as the vertebral column at the back, rib cage protecting the chest, pelvic bones, bones in hands and legs.
The main differences in monkey and human skeleton are;
The cranium is the cage-like thing that covers the brain. In the monkeys, the space of the cranium is very low. But in humans, it is projected.
The Vertical column of the monkey is ‘C’ shaped or arched. In humans, it is ‘S’ Shaped.
The opposable structure in the forelimb of a monkey is the thumb which, the hindlimb is toe and in humans, it is only the thumb. Monkeys use fingers more like hooks.
The rib cage in monkeys is barrel shaped and is rounder. In humans, the chest is broader and flatter and gravity is projected onto the spine. Hence, humans are able to stand upright.
The pelvis is more broader and bowel shaped allowing the support to internal organs. In monkeys, the pelvis is longer and narrower and gives an arched shape when they stand on hind limbs.
Thigh bone, called a femur, is large and placed to make standing upright easy in humans. Also, the angle at the knee is more. In monkeys, The bone is small and does not take all the weight and the angle at the knee is very small.
Humans have arched feet and have ligaments. Monkeys have flat feet.

Note:
Humans have only one tail bone, coccyx. But in monkeys, there are many tail bones in order. Humans have only 5 lumbar bones in the vertebral column. But in the monkeys there are many numbers of lumbar bones. The bones in the fingers called as phalanges are longer in the monkeys, to hold branches perfectly and are short in the humans.
