The following are the achievements of the League of Nations:-
-A special commission was set up by the League of Nations to settle the dispute between Sweden and Finland. The dispute was related to the Aaland Islands and the League of Nations settled the dispute in favour of Finland.
-The Mosul Boundary Dispute was also settled by the League of Nations, the conflict was between Turkey and Great Britain over the Mosul Vilayet frontier, a region rich in oil. The dispute was settled in 1926 and a small portion of the Vilayet was given to Turkey.
-The League Council also settled the border dispute between Greece and Bulgaria and requested Britain and France to examine the matter. The Greek troops were removed and for the violation of Bulgaria's territory, Greece was asked to pay the compensation, which was fixed by the commission set up by the League of Nations.
-Two officials and an Italian general were murdered in Greece, in August 1923. Apologies and reparations were demanded by Italy, but Greece refused. The island of Corfu was captured by the Italians, the League of Nations mediated and settled the dispute.
