Hint: The word expectancy refers to the number of years expected to live,or in other words we can define the average number of age of the members when they die.

Complete answer:
Life expectancy refers to a statistical method of a person expected to live from the time of birth to age of death. In India the expectancy rate steadily increased after the year, 1970. According to the ‘National Health Profile’ life expectancy has increased from 49.7 during the years 1970-1975 to 64.6 in the year 2011 for males while 67.7 for females. The survey conducted in India found that there is a high rate of young as well as economically active people. Before 1970 there was a high rate of birth rate as well as death rate.

The reason behind the same is lack of proper sanitation, medical health, along with lack of education also affects the life expectancy rate. There is early death of children due to malnutrition, trauma and infections. After the age of 70s we can see there is a gradual increase in the rate of expectancy. The reason can be proper medical facilities, education and proper sanitation and housing. However people become more conscious about health. In India different laws have been passed for children because of which death of children has been reduced.

Thus, Option A is the correct answer.

Note: The reason behind the higher expectancy rate of females is the difference in chromosomes, other factors may be smoking and alcohol and drugs. In India , most of the male population left their home for livelihood which can be considered one of the reasons for low expectancy rate of males.
