1. Can students take part in more than one Olympiad exam?

Ans: Several Olympiad exams are conducted nationally across the country in which lakhs of students participate. Examples of some of these Olympiad exams include the International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO), the International English Olympiad (IEO), the National Science Olympiad (NSO), the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), etc. All these examinations are conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation. Students can take part in as many Olympiad exams as they want. However, a very important point to note here is that each examination can only be given once a year.

2. Which language is the NCO exam conducted in?

Ans: English is a global language that is spoken across the world. Since India is a diverse land with various regional languages, it becomes essential for all students to know one common language. This is the reason why most prominent exams held both nationally and internationally are in English. The NCO exam is no exception. The NCO paper for classes 1-10 is in English. However, the questions are framed simply to ensure that students who are not very fluent in the language do not face any difficulties. 

3. What is the pattern and marking scheme of the NCO Class 4 examination?

Ans: All NCO papers are divided into 3 sections. For Class 4, Section 1 deals with questions on Logical Reasoning. This section is both easy and scoring. 5 questions are asked and each question is worth 1 mark. Section 2 tests students' knowledge of IT and computers. This section comprises 25 questions. Students must note that Section 3 is the toughest of all. Application-based problems are dealt with here which nudge children to think unconventionally and find creative solutions. 5 concept-based questions are asked, each question carrying 3 marks. Ans: Computers have undergone 5 generations of evolution to become the modern invention we are all familiar with now. The device dates back to the 1940s.
