Topic 2: Adverbs
In this topic, you will learn about adverbs. It is a part of speech that offers a much higher description to a verb, a phrase, clause, or sentence. Most adverbs end with -ly, but some are the same as their adjective counterparts. Examples of adverbs are quickly, slowly, loudly, etc.
Topic 3: Articles
This prime topic from the IEO Class 6 Syllabus deals with the concept of an Article that tells if something is specific and unspecific. There are majorly two types of an article; the Definite Article and the Indefinite Article. Example of Definite Article, ‘The’ child is running away. Example of Indefinite Article, I am eating ‘an’ apple.

This topic teaches you why reading and connecting words to make a correct sentence is essential. As comprehension is the reason for reading, you need to know the words you’re reading makes sense and connect them. By practicing comprehension, you will become a purposeful and active reader.
Topic 5: Conjunctions
In this chapter, you will learn about a part of speech that is utilized to connect phrases, sentences, clauses, and words. Conjunctions are known to be invariable grammar particles as they may or may not stand between things they conjoin. Some examples of Conjunctions are; but, and, yet, or, because, nor, although.
Topic 6: Idioms and Phrases
This topic from the IEO Syllabus for Class 6 deals with the concept of Idioms and phrases. They are a collection of words that have a symbolic meaning that is usually well known. Such words are not taken at their literal meanings as it would sound funny. An example of Idioms and Phrases, A piece of cake means an easy task or job.
Topic 7: Integrated Grammar Exercise-I & II
In simple words, the topic of Integrated Grammar is all about creative expression. It covers jumbled phrases, comprehends the meaning suggested and put the sentences in the right order. The topic also includes editing, omission, gap filling, etc. to test your knowledge of different topics.
Topic 8: Nouns and Pronouns
It is one of the most vital topics in the English language as it is covering both Nouns and Pronouns. You will learn to employ nouns and pronouns in a paragraph without repeating the noun again and again. For example, I, me, you, he, she, it, etc. In a sentence, Kabir saw Lisa, and he waved at her. Kabir is a noun and he is a pronoun.
Topic 9: Prepositions
This topic from IEO Class 6 Syllabus covers prepositions that are words utilized to connect nouns, pronouns, and phrases to other words within a single sentence. They are mostly short words and placed directly in front of nouns. Some prime examples of prepositions are at, on, in, before, and after.
Topic 10: Reported Speech

Active voice means sentences have a subject that acts upon its verb, and passive voice means the subject is a recipient of a verb’s action. You will learn to identify which sentences are an active voice and which are a passive voice.
Topic 15: Sentence and Sentence Sequencing
In this topic, you will learn the prime concept of sentences and how they express a relevant meaning and carry a group of words. You will learn to deal with various sentences mentioned in the wrong order that makes no sense. Also, in sentence sequencing, the right order or sequence is provided to the sentences.
