3. Deshaj (Indigenous) Words – The words which have come into the Hindi language through dialects created by the rural population of different areas are indigenous. Such as lutiya, namaskaar, etc.

4. Foreign Words – The words which have come into the Hindi language from foreign languages ​​like English, Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Chinese, Portuguese, etc. and are used in the Hindi language with some changes are called foreign words. For example, Sultan, tehsil (Arabic), chaku, chamacch (Turkish), amrood, kamaai (Persian), office, inspector (English), etc.

There are two types of words based on meaning: meaningful words and nonsense words.

Based on composition, there are three different types of words:

2. Compound Words - Words that are formed by combining any two meaningful words are called compound words. Clauses of these words are also meaningful. For example, Devalaya: Dev + Aalaya, etc.

Based on usage, there are two types of words:

1. Vikari Words - Words whose form changes according to gender, word, and factor are called vikari words. There are four words: nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and verbs. For example, kala, rehna, etc. 

2. Avikari Words - Words on which gender, word, factor, etc. do not matter and remain unchanged. Such words are called invariable words. Invariant words are divided into adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. For example, with, alas, and, etc.
