Analysis of Chapter 2 – The Little Fir Tree Along With Question and Answers

This story is about Shetty the Magician who was returning home. But it started raining, Shetty started to look for shelter and found a little fir tree which was nearby. He ran as fast as he could towards it and was saved from the rain. He said thank you to the tree. He wanted to reward the tree and told him that he could ask for four wishes. The tree my first wish is that I get leaves like my other friends so that birds could sit on them.

The next morning its wish was granted. A goat came by the tree and started eating all the green leaves of the tree. The tree then wishes it got gold leaves as goats couldn’t eat gold leaves. The next morning his leaves turned to gold leaves and he was very happy, but a man came along and stole his gold leaves. I want my leaves to be made of glass leaves as Men don’t steal them. The next morning his leaves turned to glass leaves, He was very happy with the glass leaves. But in the night wind blew at very fast speed and all the leaves of the tree were broken. He said I wish I had leaves like my needle leaves as goats cannot eat them, men cannot steal them and they don’t break by the winds.

The next morning he got his old needle leaves back. He was the happiest ever getting back to his old self. The moral of the story is that we should always be appreciative of the things we have in life.
