I am Shreya Rathi of Class X C and I am writing this letter on behalf of all my classmates who seek your permission for an excursion to Victoria Memorial. Our class teacher, Ms. Sugandha Mishra, taught us about the historical monuments in Kolkata. During the class, the students felt that if we visit the place, we can have a better insight and can learn about it in a more refined way as the visuals of something are always better than just reading about it in the books. Victoria Memorial is a landmark in the history of Indian Architecture and is a remarkable reminder of the British Raj in India. We can understand the excellence of its architectural design and pattern if we observe it directly. We can use the weekend to explore this monument without disturbing our academic routine.
