Satyendranath Tagore was born on 1 June 1842. He was the first Indian to clear the civil service examination.

-He had deciphered Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Sant Tukaram's sonnets into Bengali for better arrangement.

He studied in a Hindu school and was one of the main understudies to compose an assessment for the University of Calcutta in 1857.
