Hint: For the uniform motion, the distance travelled is the same at all intervals of time, it moves with the same speed. Non – Uniform motion is opposite of Uniform motion. It has different speeds.
Complete step-by-step solution:
In our everyday life, we see many things surrounding us cars, bikes, humans, birds etc. Some things are at rest and some are in motion. A body is in motion when an object changes the position with respect to an observer. Motion is described in terms of speed, velocity, distance, time and displacement.
Uniform motion: This motion is defined as motion of an object which travels the same distance at the same intervals of time. Its velocity remains constant. This occurs when an object moves in a straight line.
Equations of Uniform motion-
If V = initial and final velocity, t = time and S = displacement
$S = Vt$
In this motion, the distance – time graph shows the straight line.
The movement of blades of a fan, a vibrating spring in a sewing machine are some examples of Uniform motion.
Non – Uniform motion: In Non – Uniform motion the object does not travel the same speed at the same interval of time. In this motion the speed of the object always changes.
A bouncing ball, movement of an asteroid, running of a person etc. are some examples of Non – uniform motion.
Note:- In uniform motion, if a body is in rectilinear motion, then the motion of body must be zero. This motion has zero acceleration. This type of motion is consistent.
In Non – Uniform motion, if a body is in rectilinear motion then the acceleration is non- zero. This motion is inconsistent.
