                                                        A Visit to a Museum

A museum is a depository for collecting and displaying objects having scientific or historical or artistic value. On Thursday, I visited the famous Alahya Museum in Bocadia, New Delhi. It is set in a beautiful surrounding, with gardens accompanying the whole museum. I travelled to the museum by Metro and it took me around one hour to reach the museum. Upon arriving there, I purchased a ticket, and ventured in. On the first floor, there were numerous images, scriptures and articles displayed. The museum was divided into many sections floor-wise, like the archaeological section on the first floor. I also went to the second floor where there were many charts, manuscripts, dresses and paintings shown. I was transfixed by one of the paintings which showed a battle fought two centuries ago. Unfortunately, the museum closed at 6 pm, and I thus could not explore more. The visit to the museum was very enriching and provided me with a lot of knowledge about our history.
