Every first date of each of the Paksha will be known as Pratipada and in Hindu the first date is known as panchanga. This will help you in answering this question.

Complete answer:
The first date of the lunar month is known as Pratipada. A Lunar month has thirty dates and there are two paksha in the Lunar month. One is known as the Shukla Paksha and the other one is known as Krishna Paksha. There will be fourteen dates in each of the Paksha. Every first date of each of the Paksha will be known as Pratipada and in Hindu the first date is known as panchanga. The Moon will begin towards the completion from Pratipada of Shukla Paksha. The difference of the Moon from the Sun is zero to twelve degrees. This difference of twelve degrees will constitute one Tithi which is referred to as Pratipada of Shukla Paksha. The other Pratipada in Krishna Paksha is from $180$ degrees to $192$ degrees. Prathama is the Sanskrit word which means the first and is the first day in the lunar fortnight which is also called as paksha of the Hindu calendar. Pratipada tithi will be defined as the interval of twelve to twenty four.

Therefore the correct answer has been obtained as option A.

Note:
Prathama is also known as pratipada in West Bengal, Maharashtra, Odisha and western India and goa. Each month will have two Prathama days, being the first day of the bright known as Shukla and of the dark known as Krishna fortnights respectively. Therefore the Prathama happens on the first and the sixteenth day of each month. It is also referred to as Pratipad or Pratipada.
