Hint: Venus is the brightest planet and also the brightest object visible from the Earth after the Sun and moon.
Complete step by step answer:
Venus is the closest planet to the Earth in the solar system and it’s the second planet from the sun in our solar system. It appears first in the morning before the sun rises and first in the evening after sunset.
We know that the planets revolve and rotate on their own axis around the Sun. The Earth rotates from west to east that’s why the sun appears to rise from the east and sets in the west. When Venus is on the east side of the earth and the sun has not risen, for a spectator at the eastern horizon of the earth Venus appears before the sun has risen and the earth still has to rotate a few degrees for the sun to rise. Therefore, it is called the morning star.
Now, when the position of Venus is on the west of earth ,as the earth rotates from west to east the sun sets on the western horizon of the earth .For a person spectating from there he could see the planet after the sun set and due to its brightness it appears like a star and hence its named as evening star.
The correct answer is B, Venus
Note: Planet Jupiter is the largest plant with huge red spots, Earth is known as the blue planet , and Saturn is the ring planet so they are not a suitable answer.
