Option A – Kamet is known to be the second highest mountain in the Garhwal region of Uttrakhand in the Chamoli district. It has an altitude of around 7756 metres, i.e. 25,446 feet and height of 2825 metres, i.e. 9268 feet. It is ranked at 29th position in terms of elevation and 121st position in terms of height. So, it is not the correct answer.

Option B – Nanda Devi is considered to be a part of Garhwal Himalayas in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It has an altitude of 7816 metres, i.e. 25,643 feet making it the 23rd highest peak in the World. The height of the mountain is 3,139 metres, i.e. 10,299 feet and ranking it at 74th position. So, it is also not the correct answer.

Option C – Kun Lun is located in the Tibet region of China with an elevation of 7167 metres, i.e. 23,514 feet. Thus, it is also not the correct answer.

Option D – Nanga Parbat is also known as Diamer located in the Diamer district of Pakistan. It has an elevation of 8,126 metres, i.e. 26,660 feet and stands at the 9th position. The height of the mountain is 4,608 metres, i.e. 15,118 feet making it the 14th highest mountain in the world. It has been included in the list Eight Thousanders which is recognized by the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation in which 14 mountains with a height of 8000 metres, i.e. 26,247 feet above the sea level have been listed.
