Hint: Greenhouse gas is defined as the gas which absorbs and emits the radiant form of energy within the thermal infrared range. These gases are known to cause the greenhouse effect on planets. Greenhouse gases are released due to many human activities from automobiles, the use of air conditioners in the houses, and from industries.

Complete answer:Greenhouse gases have many effects on health as well as the environment. The main effect includes climate change by trapping heat because of these greenhouse gases. Another effect caused is they contribute to many respiratory disorders making difficulty in breathing. Greenhouse gases are known to cause global warming and also ozone depletion with the potential rise in temperature of the planet earth.
Option -A- Chlorofluorocarbon: The compounds containing fluorine, chlorine, and carbon are called chlorofluorocarbons. These are released by air conditioners and from industries. Though they are less abundant than carbon dioxide they are more potent than carbon dioxide. They may remain in the atmosphere for 45 to 100 years. It is known to hold i.e. a single molecule of it can hold nearly 11,000 molecules of carbon dioxide making it more dangerous.
Option -B- Methane: This has is produced mainly via the production and transport of coal, natural gas, and oil from refineries. This is also known to trap the sun's heat and trade it in the atmosphere making it warmer.
Option -C- Carbon dioxide: Carbon dioxide is considered the primary greenhouse gas. It is known to affect the temperature of the atmosphere by trapping heat to a much extent. It’s considered that without gas our planet earth would be too much colder. It is released via many human activities, one of the major reasons being deforestation. Plants are known to consume carbon dioxide during the process of photosynthesis but due to human activities, carbon dioxide is increasing day by day. It is the most powerful and dangerous gas as it is accumulating in the atmosphere at a very fast rate and thereby trapping heat.
Option -D- Hydrogen: Hydrogen is known to have a lifetime of only 2 to 3 years in the atmosphere. It's concentration in the environment is very less and remains for very less time in the environment. It is known to have the least greenhouse gas potential considering another greenhouse case. Its concentration is also known to be decreased via uptake of hydrogen by soil surfaces and because of oxidation by hydroxyl radicals. So this gas is the only gas among all others that is not a greenhouse gas or less significant greenhouse gas.
So, the correct answer is option” D” Hydrogen.

Note: These greenhouse gases are known to cause global warming which is responsible for any changes in the atmosphere. Due to global warming, there is an eventual increase in the temperature of the atmosphere causing glaciers to melt and many other effects.
