The Piramal Foundation is a philanthropic arm of the Piramal Group. It is a Not-For-Profit organization whose aim is to provide a replicable solution to our nations’ most pressing challenges. The projects untaken by the foundation are based on certain areas which are education, healthcare, livelihood creation, youth development, environmental issues, youth empowerment. It also focuses on encouraging Indian culture. The chairman of the foundation is Ajay Piramal and the position of Vice-chairperson is held by his wife Swati Piramal. The core values - knowledge, action, care and impact are an important part of the guiding philosophy of the foundation.

The main focus of the foundation is the Millennium Development Goals. In addition, it also focuses on matters relating to reducing child mortality rates, universal primary education, improvement of maternal health and also improving access to safe water drinking. The foundation tries to give the best sustainable living condition either through its institution or tries to give through other institutions. It coordinates its service either through Annamrita, a non-governmental organisation by ISKCON Food Relief foundation which supports the children for their education by providing proper nutrition; or through Pratham, an NGO working towards the provisions to provide quality education to the underprivileged children existing in the society.
