Hint: In quantum mechanics almost all physical quantities are quantized, this means that they either have fixed values or are multiples of discrete values depending on their position or motion. Similarly energy in all quantum models is also quantized.
Complete answer:
Quantum mechanics is a theory of physics which gives explanation about nature's laws at the atomic and subatomic levels. In quantum mechanics most quantities are quantized values which mean that they can only have values as multiples of discrete numbers.
Similarly, in Bohr’s model of atom, atoms can only exist in those orbits which are integral multiples of$\dfrac{h}{2\pi }$. The orbit in which the electrons exist determine the values of their velocity, energy etc.
Since the values of energy is also quantized as-
$E=-13.6\dfrac{{{z}^{2}}}{{{n}^{2}}}$
Here, $E$ is the energy of electron in an orbit
$z$ is the atomic number of the atom
$n$ is the orbit number
Since, the above given equation tells us that the value of energy is also quantized, hence it is called quantum energy.
Similarly the energy required to move from one orbit to the other also has discrete values, Light contains packets of quantized energy known as photons and their energy also has discrete values. So we can say that all types of energy associated with quantum mechanics is known as quantum energy.
Therefore, all types of energy related with quantum models are called quantum energy as they have fixed values or multiples of discrete values.
Note:
The Bohr’s model of atom is only valid for hydrogen-like atoms. Multiples of $\dfrac{h}{2\pi }$ are the angular momentum of electrons present in the respective orbitals. The discrete values of physical quantities for quantum models are calculated by using the relation of angular momentum and the electrostatic force of attraction which exists between the nucleus and the electron.
