Hint: Nucleoid is an irregular-shaped region of a prokaryotic cell which consists of the genetic material mostly. It is not present in a defined state.
Complete answer:
A prokaryotic cell consists of a chromosome that is circular and is very large in length as compared to the other cell dimensions which are compressed to get fit in the cell. The nucleoid is made up of the formation of chromosomal architectural proteins and RNA molecules which are the content creation and functional arrangement and DNA supercoiling. A single cell constitutes multiple copies and consists of a widely varied length of a genome. In Escherichia coli the negatively supercoiled chromosomal DNA gets folded into plectonemic loops and gets diffused into each other in different physical regions. It does not contain any structure of a bacterial nucleoid but consists of features in it. The loops are organized spatially which are known as macrodomains and are found in the DNA sites which are interacted frequently and the interactions are there between them.
Additional information:
A nucleoid consists of the formation which is in the form of condensation of a large DNA into smaller cellular spaces and functional organization of the DNA into three-dimensional form. An electron micrograph helps with the visualization of the nucleate at very high magnification and is visible against the cytosol. the nuclei and can be seen under a light microscope by staining it with the Feulgen stain which helps in specifically staining the DNA. The nucleoid present in the bacteria becomes more compact after the UV irradiation and the compact structure forms in Escherichia coli which requires activation and specific interactions that play a major role in the homologous recombinational repair of the damage of DNA.
Note:
The nuclear field is important for the control of the activity of the cell and helps with the process of reproduction. It is present in the region where transcription and the replication of the DNA take place in the cell.
