In Arabic , Hijirat means migration. It denotes the migration of Prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina. Mecca is the holy place of Muslims which has the mosque. Mecca and Medina were the only two cities in Arabia. Mecca was a city of wealth and Medina was the city with Agriculture establishments. The adult Muslims except long travellers , diabetes, breast feeders , pregnant women fast a whole day from sunrise to sunset. The food taken predawn is called the Suhur and the food that breaks the fast is called iftar. Muslims never commit any sins during this period. Muslims Namaz five times a day masjid.
