Hint: This question can tell us about the concepts of ratio as well as fractions. We will answer this with the help of any example that relates with the concept above of 1:1 ratio. Also we can take help of the general definition of ratio. This only justifies that the quantities are in the same proportion.

Complete step-by-step solution:
Given that the ratio is noted as 1:1
If a:b is the ratio defined such that it helps us to know how much part of a is equivalent to that of b.
In the case above it clearly says that one part of the first quantity is equal to one part of the second quantity.
That is for example we have two bottles of juice, one has juice of pineapple and other has juice of orange, then one part of the first bottle is equal to one part of the second bottle.
Though the consistency of the juices are different, their quantities are the same.
One more example we can take is when we bake a cake if we say that 1kg of cake contains sugar and flour in a 1:1 ratio it means the quantity of sugar and flour will be the same though sugar is in granular form and flour is in powder form.
Thus we get a clear idea of the 1:1 concept.

Note: Ratios are used to check the equivalence in two quantities. Or we can say the relation in two quantities. Sometimes we can do this for more than 2 quantities.
We can also define the ratios in fraction form as a:b can also be written as ab.
