Hint: For solving this question you should know about the factors of any number and how to calculate these. We can find the factors of any number by dividing that number by all the small numbers and its own number. And which will divide it completely are the factors of that number.
Complete step by step solution:
According to our question we have to find the factors of 43.
As we know that the prime numbers are only divided by 1 and it’s own. So, the prime numbers have only two factors.
And the factors of composite numbers are always more than two. The prime factors of composite numbers are those factors which are also prime numbers such as 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 etc.
Example of composite numbers are: -
Composite Numbers Factors
90 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 15, 18, 30, 45, 90
8 1, 2, 4 and 8
14 1, 2, 7 and 14
20 1, 2, 4, 5, 10 and 20
35 1, 5, 7 and 35
The factors of square number are the values which are squared to produce the original number.
So, if we calculate the factors for 43 then,
, one factor is 1
, one factor is 43
And the 43 is a prime number which can’t be divided completely with remainder zero beside 1 and 43.
If we try to divide it then,
with remainder 1
with remainder 1
with remainder 3
with remainder 3
with remainder 13
with remainder 3
So, the factors of 43 are only 1 and 43.
Note: While calculating the factors for any number we have to be careful always for the remainder value of any dividation if the remainder is not equal to zero then it will not be a factor of that number. And the prime numbers do not have any other factor than 1 and its own value.
