Hint:Shivaji was a warrior king of Indian origin who was conferred the crown of chatrapathi. The sultanate of Bijapur was in the present-day state of Karnataka. Adil Shah was the founder of this dynasty from 1489 to 1686. After a conquest by Aurangzeb, the Bijapur sultanate was merged into the Mughal Empire.

Complete answer:
There were a series of conflicts between the sultanates of Bijapur and Shivaji Maharaj. When Shivaji was 15 years old, he persuaded Inayat Khan to hand him the fort as a possession of his own. The fort of Kondana was then conquered after giving bribes to that bijapur governor, Firangoji Narsala. In order to contain Shivaji's aggression and spread, a ruler of Bijapur sultanate Mohammed Adalshah ordered his troops to imprison the father of Shivaji named Shahaji in July 1648 .

After the capture of his father, Shivaji became less indulged in conquests and fights. The father of Shivaji was released in 1649 after which he retired from public life. When his father died in 1664 in an accident during hunting, Shivaji started raiding and indulging in fights again.
Sambhaji was the youngest child of Majarat Shivaji. His mother was Shivaji’s first wife, Saibai.
Rajaram is the younger son of Shivaji. His mother was Soyarabai.

Hence, the correct answer is option (A).

Note:The major clash between the rulers of the Sultanate and shivaji was majorly on religious lines. Shivaji was not a patronage of Hinduism whereas shivaji was a dedicated devotee of Hindu gods and goddesses.
