Hint: The strategy for a wise use of resources is called resource planning. Resource planning is a process which is full of complexities. It involves the identification of the resources across all the parts of India. In resource planning, equal distribution of resources across India is done.
Complete Step by Step Answer: Resource planning is important because it helps in the identification of the resources in different parts of the country. It also helps in conserving many nonrenewable resources and helps in the reduction of the resource wastage. Resource planning also helps in better management of the resources present in the country.
Measures adopted for better resource management are as follows-
1.Identify the resources which are in short supply and fulfill their needs.
2.Identify the allocation and distribution of resources in a planned manner.
3.Evolve a planned structure with an appropriate implementation of plans.
4.Connect the plans for the resource development with the development of our nation.
5.Mapping, surveying and measurement of the resources.
The resources in India are not evenly distributed. Resource planning saves environmental degradation. It also creates sustainable development with the limited use of the resources. Resource planning is useful for the benefit of the future generations too. It takes track of all the remaining resources.
Note: Many efforts have been taken by the government of India to achieve the goal of resource planning namely ‘soil conservation’ and ‘land utilisation and planning’. Measures have been taken by our government since the first five year plan right after independence.
