Hint: Let us go from the right side to the left side of the equation. So, first find 20% of 500 and then 15% of it and at last 10% of the previous number.
Complete step-by-step answer:
As we know that according to the percentage formula, which states that A% of B is calculated as \[\dfrac{A}{{100}} \times B\].
So, first we had to find the value of 20% of Rs. 500.
So, applying the percentage formula. We get,
20% of Rs. 500 = \[\dfrac{{20}}{{100}} \times 500\] = Rs. 100
Now as per the question we had to now find the 15% of Rs. 100.
15% of Rs. 100 = \[\dfrac{{15}}{{100}} \times 100\] = Rs. 15.
And at last we had to find the 10% of Rs. 15.
10% of Rs. 15 = \[\dfrac{{10}}{{100}} \times 15\] = Rs. 1.50
So, the 10% of 15% of 20% of Rs. 500 is equal to Rs. 1.50
Hence, the correct option will be C.
Note: Whenever we come up with this type of question the major mistake that we can do is while calculating the percentage we should take care that after finding 20% of 500 we should not again 15% of 500 and 10% of 500. We had to find the 15% of the number we got after finding 20% of 500 and then find the 10% of the previous number which we get from the 15% of the number.
