Hint: Blood group depends on the presence of antibody and antigen. Positive and negative characteristic features depend on Rh factor. Presence of the same antigen and antibody causes coagulation.
Complete Answer:
B - In B blood group antigen B and antibody A is present. So B group can receive B group and antigen less o group. B group can not receive A group because antibody B is present in a blood group. Also unable to take AB blood group because of both antigen A and B.
AB - In AB blood group antigen A and B is present and no antibody is present. So it can take A,B,AB and O. So AB is called a universal receiver.
O - O blood group contains both A and B antibodies but has no antibody. Thus O can not take any other blood group except O. So O blood group is called universal donor.
A - In B blood group antigen A and antibody B is present. So A group can receive A group and antigen less O group. A group can not receive B group because antibody A is present in a blood group. Also unable to take AB blood group because of both antigen A and B.
So the answer is option (B).
Note:
1. ABO blood grouping introduced by Karl Landsteiner.
2. The accurate grouping of blood is very important when it comes to having a blood transfusion.
