Hint: The term hot dilute soup is the sea containing large populations of organic monomers and polymers.

Complete answer: The concept of the origin of life has been provided by various biologists which provide different theories on the origin of life.
Oparin -Haldane theory is one such theory which is by far the most accepted theory, the aspect of the theory is the existence of ‘hot dilute soup’ which is the existence of organic matter in the ocean it is also known as prebiotic ocean this was proposed by Haldane.
In his theory, he stated that the organic compound formation is facilitated by a source of energy that initially occurred in the hot ocean water.

The organic molecules which appeared like hot dilute soup in the ocean undergo polymerization to form complex biomolecules i.e. carbohydrates, fats, proteins, etc. which were further capable of dividing.
These biomolecules essentially interacted with other membranes to form certain structures. Oparin recommended that the biomolecules formed a cluster which is called coacervates which are believed to be the precursor of the first living cell.
Haldane anticipated that the lack of oxygen made the environment reduce and that favored the formation of organic molecules.
This theory is known as the Chemosynthetic theory of origin.

Hence, the correct option is ‘A

Note: This theory which was proposed by Oparin and Haldane was further experimentally proved by Urey and Miller by providing the primitive environmental condition in an experiment set up and observed the formation of organic molecules.
