It is also required to bear the signature of at least one witness who can either be a relative of the arrestee or a respectable member of the locality where the arrest has been made. The arrestee should also sign the properly prepared arrest memo.
3. On request of the arrestee, the police personnel is also required to register any minor or major injuries on the body of the registered person in an inspection memo. This is to be signed by the arrested person as well as the person who is arresting him. The arrestee should also be given a copy of this memorandum.
