Hint: Human neural system has about 100 billion neurons which majorly lie in the brain. Brain covered by three protectives covering Dura mater, Arachnoid, and Pia Mater which are collectively called cranial meninges.

Complete answer:
Brain covering like dura mater is a tough fibrous layer connected with the inside layer of the cranium, arachnoid is network type middle layer and pia mater is thin, the vascular layer that forms a connection with brain tissue. Space between the arachnoid membrane and pia mater is subarachnoid space and space between arachnoid and dura mater is subdural space. These spaces are filled with cerebrospinal fluid to prevent the brain from shock.

Additional Information: Cerebrospinal fluid circulates through ventricles of the brain, the central canal of the spinal, in brain meninges, and the spinal cord. This fluid is similar to blood plasma in color and appearance but the percent of components is less as compared to plasma. Cerebrospinal fluid provides protection and buoyancy to the brain, it excretes harmful substances from the brain to blood, and transport hormones to a different site of the brain.
Blood plasma is a viscous fluid present inside the blood which carries protein, nutrients, hormones, and enzymes. Blood plasma functions in blood clotting, body immunity, retention of blood fluid, maintenance of blood pH, and conduction of heat. Plasma protein also acts as antibiotics.
Lymph is a connective tissue present in the lymphatic system. Lymph consists of lymph plasma and WBC. Lymph proteins act as antibodies and lymph also carries organic, inorganic substances, and water. Lymph nodes, tonsil, thymus, spleen, and Peyer’s patches are lymphoid organs that secrete lymph. Lymph provides the exchange of nutrients and gases between blood and cells, it also carries hormone and fat. Lymphs balance blood volume and destroy foreign particles.
ACTH is an adrenocorticotropic hormone stimulated by the anterior pituitary, it controls the production of cortisol. Cortisol hormones respond to stress, fight with infection, control blood sugar, and maintain blood pressure.

So, the correct answer is ‘Cerebrospinal fluid’.

Note: Defects in the skull and dura cause the leak of cerebrospinal fluid from the nose and ear which causes the hole in the dura. A leak caused due to brain and sinus surgery. If the leak was not treated it leads to meningitis and death
