Here we have been provided with the expression $7+2\times 6\div 4-12\div 6$ and we are asked to simplify it. Let us use the BODMAS rule to get the answer as there are many arithmetic operations in the single expression. Assuming the value of the given expression as E we have,
$\Rightarrow E=7+2\times 6\div 4-12\div 6$
Now, according to the BODMAS rule we have to simplify the terms inside the bracket first but we can see that there are no brackets so we move forward with the operation ‘Of’ which means exponentiation in the term BODMAS. We don’t have any such terms so we are left with the four arithmetic operations in the order division, multiplication, addition and subtraction. So on performing the division first we get,

  & \Rightarrow E=7+2\times \dfrac{6}{4}-\dfrac{12}{6} \\
 & \Rightarrow E=7+2\times \dfrac{3}{2}-2 \\
\end{align}$
Performing multiplication in the next step we have,
$\Rightarrow E=7+3-2$
Next performing the addition operation we get,
$\Rightarrow E=10-2$
At last performing the subtraction we get,
$\therefore E=8$

So, the correct answer is “Option d”.

Note: Note that the BODMAS rule is also sometimes known as the PEMDAS rule where P stands for parentheses, O stands for order, and MDAS stands for multiplication, division, addition and subtraction. Remember that we can also perform multiplication before division. The BODMAS rule is used to simplify an expression when we have multiple operations in a single expression as it systematically reduces each operation.
