Hint: The Purana Qila was designed by the founder of the Sur Dynasty in the 16th century B.C. The Purana Qila of Delhi has been built on the bank of river Yamuna.

Complete answer:
Purana Qila is one of the oldest forts of Delhi. The construction of this fort started at the time of Humayun but it was carried forward and completed by Sher Shah. He added some structures of his own during the time it was designed. There are three main entrance gates at the Qila, one of which is named after Humayun. The Qila is made up of red sandstone and its walls from all sides are octagonal.
The original name of Sher Shah was Farid Khan, but he got Sher Shah’s title for his bravery by the people after the Afghan rule of Bihar. During his regime, he overcame many neighbouring states, including Bundelkhand, Malwa, Punjab and many more. He ruled almost all the northern states except Assam, Gujarat and Nepal. Sher Shah Suri ruled for five years from 1540 to 1545 and during this period, he formed a strong military force and well organised the postal system of that time. He was killed in a fight with the Rajputs when the latter seized him in Kalinjar fort on Bundelkhand. Sher Shah Suri defeated the Mughal Emperor Humayun in the battle of Kanauj, and from then people started considering him as the most powerful ruler because he was capable of taking the throne of Delhi from Mughals.
So, the correct answer is Option C.

Note: Purana Qila is also famous by the name of Shergarh and Sher Fort. Sher Shah Suri also constructed the Grand Trunk Road to reduce the distance between India and Pakistan. Apart from the Purana Qila, the credit for building Rohtas Fort and Sher Shah Suri Masjid also goes to Sher Shah.
