Hint: Prokaryotes have naked genetic material.Prokaryotic cells are the simplest systems which exhibit all of the signs of life. They are the smallest types of cell, nearly 2-5 µm in length, which makes them merely visible under the light microscope.

Complete step by step answer:
-Inspite of their small size, there is the complete biochemical machinery necessary for growth, reproduction and the acquisition and utilization of energy inside each cell.
-Prokaryotes have a large range of abilities. Some of them live in the absence of oxygen, i.e. in anoxic conditions, some live in extreme conditions like heat, cold or high salinity, others live at the bottom of oceans where their only source of energy is hot hydrogen sulfide gas bubbling up from the core of the earth.
-Genetic information of prokaryotic cells is carried on a single circular DNA which is attached to the cell membrane and is in direct contact with the cytoplasm. There is no enclosing membrane over the DNA, so the nucleus is not a true nucleus. It is just a concentration of DNA and is known as a nucleoid. There are no special proteins, called histones, attached to this DNA molecule.

Hence option D is correct.

Note:
In eukaryotes this organization is much more complex.Dna being negatively charged bound on positively charged proteins called histones.Histones are rich in lysine and arginine amino acids.
