Damyanti was a queen from the time of Mahabharata. She was the daughter of Bhima, a king of Vidarbha Kingdom. She was married to Nala who was the King of Nishadha Kingdom.
It is a love story where the princess Damyanti got to know about her prince Nala from a swan and wanted to marry him. They got married and lived happily. A few years after Nala’s cousins offered him to play a game where he lost his kingdom and they (Nala and Damyanti) had to live in the jungle.
