Hint: The solid surface of the Earth is known as the Lithosphere and is the surface on which we live. The gaseous layer that surrounds the Earth where oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and other gases are found is known as the atmosphere. The area which is covered by water is known as the hydrosphere.

Complete answer:The Earth is made up of complex zones and when the three main components of the environment meet, overlap, and interact life is made possible on Earth. The solid surface of the Earth is known as the Lithosphere and is the surface on which we live and it comprises the rocks of the earth’s crust and the thin layer of soils that contains nutrient elements that sustain organisms. The gaseous layer that surrounds the Earth where oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and other gases are found is known as the atmosphere. It extends up to the height of 1,600 km and is divided into five zones based on the composition. The area which is covered by water is known as the hydrosphere. It comprises the oceans, sea, rivers, etc, and covers 71% of the Earth’s total surface. The narrow zone of contact between the land, water, and the air is known as the Biosphere. It is because of this unique zone, life is supported on the planet. There are broadly two main organisms in the biosphere namely the animal kingdom and plant kingdom. The changes in the Earth’s surface and excessive use of resources can cause the depletion of the complex zones, thus we need to maintain a balance between the lithosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere.

Note: The three main components of Earth are the Lithosphere, Atmosphere, and Hydrosphere which meet, overlap, and interact because of which life is possible on Earth.
