Complete answer:
The Constitution of India is the highest law that must be followed by every citizen of India. The Constitution of India was brought into function on 26th January 1950. It is a written set of different rules and regulations, powers, protocols for the government to follow. The Constitution of India is designed in such a way that it makes sure that no single citizen of India lacks the fundamental right. Our Indian Constitution has adopted the constitutional procedure of the United Kingdom (U.K.). One of the main reasons for accepting this system is, that our country India was under British rule for a very long time. During this period, Indians became habitual of the British laws and acts, so at the time of Constitution-making, U.K. Constitutional system has been adopted with little modifications in it. Also, the Constitution System that was in effect in the United Kingdom was much logical, so it was easy to follow this system. The system of Prime Minister, Parliament, Cabinet and its house, Council of Ministers were copied from the United Kingdom's Constitution by changing a bit in their selection procedure and tenure. There were in total 395 Articles and 8 Schedules present at the time of Constitution-making.
So, the correct answer is Option B.

Note: The Indian Constitution is the longest formed Constitution with about 1,45,000 words that were present at the time of writing it. The time is taken for writing the Constitution was 2 years and 11 months with a total of 11 sessions held. The credit for framing the Constitution goes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar who is regarded as the Father of the Indian Constitution.
