Hint: Population density is the number of people per unit area (measured in square Km). Apart from the actual population density also depends on the available land area for any country. Population density can be calculated by dividing total population with the area of the country in Square Km.

Complete Answer:
- Monaco is the most densely populated country in the world. Although China and India have very huge populations, these countries are bigger countries. China is the world's 4th largest country and India is the 7th largest country.
- The USA is the 3rd largest country but also has less population. Population of Monaco is just 37,308 (As per 2019 census) but the area of the Monaco country is just 2.1 Square Km. Thus the population density becomes very high l.e 18,713/square Km.
- Monaco has the world's highest population density. Mongolia has the least population density and has a density of 1.97 people / Square Km. India ranks 19th in the population density in the world.
- Inspiring the world’s highest population, China being a bigger country its population density is 145/Square Km and that of India is 407/Square Km. Monaco is a very small country and is 194th in the total area. Thus in spite of having less population as per the available area its density is very high.

Hence the correct answer is option E.

Note: If the density of the population is very high then there will be limited resources available per person. Also in densely populated areas chances of infectious disease epidemic is more. In India Delhi has the highest density. In India West Bengal has the highest population density while Arunachal Pradesh has the least population density. India is suffering from both high population and high population density as in India the population is high also and is not evenly distributed. Cities like Mumbai and Delhi are facing a bursting population density due to large numbers of people migrating there for livelihood.
