Hint:
Warangal Fort is situated in the Warangal district of Telangana. The construction of the Warangal fort was started during the reign of the Kakatiya Dynasty in 1199 AD. The construction was finished in 1261 AD.

Complete solution:
Warangal Fort is one of the best heritage sites in India, situated in the Warangal district of Telangana, 145 km away from Hyderabad. The word ‘Warangal’ is derived from the Telugu word ‘Orugallu’, where ‘Oru’ means one and ‘gallu’ means stone. The construction of the Warangal Fort was started during Ganapathi Deva’s reign (Kakatiya Dynasty) in 1199 AD. And, the construction was finished in 1261 AD.

The early Kakatiya rulers served as the rulers of Western Chalukyas and Rashtrakutas for a long time. But, the actual expansion of the Kakatiya dynasty started happening during Ganapathi Deva’s reign (1199-1262). Almost all the Telugu speaking areas around Godavari and Krishna rivers were brought under the Kakatiya control.

Additional information: The four ornamental gates at the entrance of the Warangal Fort, known as Kakatiya Kala Thoranam, are now ruined and converted into the ruined great Shiva temple. Also, the central part of the fort was actually the archaeological zone, which can only be seen now as the freestanding entrance gates on the four sides. This fort is also included in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2010.

Hence, the correct answer is option A.

Note:
Things should be noted that Rani Rudramadevi (1262-1289) was the daughter of Ganapathi Deva and the next successor of the Kakatiya dynasty after him. It is known that she further completed the construction of the Warangal Fort. Prataparudra was the grandson of Rani Rudramadevi. His reign is actually known to be the ‘Golden Age’ for the Kakatiya dynasty.
