The helper T cells are the one of the most important cells in adaptive immunity. They are needed for adaptive immune responses. Their function is to activate the B cells for secreting antibodies as well as macrophages for destruction of microbes, they are also known to help activate cytotoxic T cells in order to kill the target cells.
The cytotoxic T cell ( cytotoxic T lymphocyte, T-killer cell, CTC, cytolytic T cell) is a type of lymphocyte(T-lymphocyte) which is a type of white blood cell known to kill the cancerous cells and the cells which are virus infected or the cells which are damaged in any other ways.
The plasma cells which are also known as plasmocytes or plasma B cells which secrete a large volume of antibodies. These are transported through the blood plasma as well as lymphatic system. The plasma cells originate in bone marrow and differentiate into plasma cells which produce the antibodies. The antibody molecules are glycoproteins which bind to specific antigen and elicit antigen-antibody interactions.
The memory cells are known to be long-lived immune cells which are capable of recognizing the foreign particles to which they were previously exposed to.
