Hint: In male reproductive system, the reproductive organs are located in the pelvis region. It consists of paired testes and paired as well as unpaired accessory organs and the external genitalia. Rete testis, vasa efferentia and epididymis are present in or along with the testis.
Complete answer:
Male reproductive system consists of paired testes as essential sex organs that situated outside the abdominal cavity within a cavity called scorotum. It is to maintain the lower temperature of the testes necessary for the process called spermatogenesis.
The male sex accessory ducts include paired as well as unpaired organs like male genital ducts, epididymis, Seminal vesicles, ejaculatory ducts and bulbourethral glands are amongst the paired accessory sex organ. The unpaired accessory sex organs include the scrotum, prostate gland, urethra and penis.
The position of the part of male reproductive organs can be understood by following sequence-
The scrotal sacs consist of testes that form a small network of tubules called rete testis.
The tubules of rete testis end in a 12-20 slender duct called vasa efferentia.
Epididymis caps the upper part of the testis and applied to the posterior border.
Vasa efferentia merge to 6 meter long vas deferens or seminal duct. It passes over the posterior surface of the urinary bladder.
The short duct of each seminal vesicle joins the end of vas deferens to form ejaculatory ducts.
Urinary bladder opens into the urethra which passes down, through the prostate gland and then through the centre of penis to open out at the tip of the urinary meatus.
From the above points, the part of testes, rete testis, epididymis, vasa efferentia are present outside the abdominal cavity whereas ampulla of vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate gland and Membranous urethra are present inside the abdominal cavity.
Fallopian tubes are the part of female reproductive organs.
So, the correct answer is “Option C”.
Note: From the above discussion it is clear that the correct answer is option C i.e. 4, ampulla of vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate gland and Membranous urethra are the structures present inside the abdominal cavity. Testis are present outside the body to maintain the suitable template required for spermatogenesis and rest are present inside the body which are responsible for carrying and transferring of sperms.
