Hint:India is located in the Northern Hemisphere of the world and the Tropic of Cancer passes halfway through it. It is North from the Equator, passes through the middle of the country- through eight states in India.

Complete answer:

India lies to the north of the equator between 6 degrees 44 minutes and 35 degrees 30 minutes north latitude and 68 degrees 7 minutes and 97 degrees 25 minutes east longitude.
The latitudinal extent of India from the north end Kashmir to south end Kanyakumari is 37 degrees 6
minutes north to 8 degrees 4 minutes north.
The longitudinal extent of India from west end Gujarat to east end Arunachal Pradesh is 68 degrees 7 minutes east to 97 degrees 25 minutes east.
On calculating both of these extents we arrive at a consciousness that these are approximately 30 degrees.
The Tropic of Cancer (23 degrees 30 minutes North) passes almost halfway through the country India. The distance between latitudes remains the same throughout but the distance between the two longitudes tends to deduct as they begin to move towards poles.
The distance between two latitudes is constant. It is 111 km. However, the distance between two longitudes is 111 km at the equator and reduces to zero at the poles.

Note:Because of the large longitudinal distance which is approximated to 29 degrees, there is a vast time difference located at two extremes of India. It is estimated the difference of time would be somewhat equal to two hours.
