Hint: The Seven Party Alliance (SPA) was a term used for a coalition that was formed by seven parties. This was done to challenge the authority of King Gyanendra.

Complete answer: The Seven Party Alliance was a coalition of seven Nepali political parties attempting to end the undemocratic and autocratic rule in the country. They initiated the Loktantra Andolan in 2006. The alliance had seven parties namely, Nepali Congress, Nepali Congress (Democratic), Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Nepal Goodwill Party (Anandi Devi), United Left Front, People's Front. These seven parties secured a total of 194 out of the 205 seats allocated in the 1999 Nepalese legislative elections. The only exception was the Monarchist Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). The RPP was split into three factions. One faction openly supported the royal take-over while the other two criticized it to a large extent. This was significant in Nepali politics. The name "Seven Party Alliance" has one [party that in itself is a coalition of three other parties. The ULF is an alliance consisting of three parties. Congress and the CPN(UML) are the two largest parties. This alliance of seven parties pressurised the monarch and the king to accept the demands of the common people and hence agreed for an elected parliament.

Thus, The correct answer is Option B.

Note: The Democracy Movement in 2006 also known as Loktantra Andolan is a name given to the political unrest and agitations against the undemocratic rule of King Gyanendra of Nepal. The movement is also referred to as ‘Jan Andolan II’ which means People's Movement.
