Hint: We may think that the shape and movement of our galaxy will have a major effect on the movement of the sun and the planets in it. Also, we know that the movement of the planets and earth is in an elliptical manner.

Complete answer:
Our sun, earth, other planets and our solar system belongs to the Milky Way galaxy which is a barred spiral galaxy with an estimated apparent diameter between \[170000\] and \[200000\] light-years ( \[ly\] ). It is estimated to contain $100 - 400billion$ stars and at least that same amount of planets.
The planets which we can see with a telescope are spiral. But we cannot see the Milky Way galaxy as we ourselves are residing on this planet. It is like a microbe trying to guess the shape of the earth.
Firstly, we should not assume our residing galaxy to be unique amongst the other galaxies of the same galactical group.
Then, if we try to look at the center of the galaxy, we see a thin strip as if we are looking at a disc rather than an ellipsoid or any other shape. We could also see the bulge at the center. All the other spiral galaxies are spiral discs with bulge at the center.

Hence, the correct answer is (B).

Note: So we had seen the term galaxy and the solar, there is the difference between these two. The main difference is the galaxy contains solar systems. Solar systems do not contain galaxies. We can say a solar system is just like a star in which all the bodies that orbit it. Like our sun. Whereas our solar system is part of the Milky Way galaxy which contains hundreds of billions of solar systems. For example Planets.
