Hint: Akbar succeeded his father, Humayun, as emperor of India, with the support of a regent, Bairam Khan. Akbar, a victorious general with a strong personality, gradually expanded the Mughal Empire to encompass much of the Indian subcontinent. Because of Mughal military, political, cultural, and economic domination, his power and influence spread across the whole subcontinent.

Complete answer:
From 1550 to 1564, Rani Durgavati was the Queen of Gondwana. In 1564, Akbar dispatched a strong army under the command of Asaf Khan to attack the Gondwana State in Central India. Durgavati, the queen-mother, fought valiantly against the Mughal soldiers, but when she realized defeat was unavoidable, she chose death over shame and stabbed herself to death. Mughal armies entered the city after her death and occupied the majority of Gondwana.

From 1556 to 1605, Akbar reigned as the third Mughal emperor. Medini Ray ruled in the Palamu area of Bihar, which is today in Jharkhand, from 1658 to 1674. From 1828 to 1858, Lakshmibai, the Rani of Jhansi, was an Indian queen who ruled over the Maratha princely state of the Jhansi in North India. Rudrama Devi ruled the Deccan Plateau as a monarch of the Kakatiya dynasty from 1263 to 1289.

Therefore from the above explanation we can that option ‘A’ is the correct answer.

Note: In honour of Rani Durgavati, the Government of Madhya Pradesh renamed the University of Jabalpur Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya in 1983. On June 24, 1988, the Indian government released a postage stamp mourning her death. The Durgavati Express runs between Jabalpur Junction and Jammutawi, and it is named after the Queen.
