Swan-necked flask experiment was done by Louis Pasteur:-He performed the experiment by taking an S-shaped neck flask along with broth. He sterilized broth and then cooled it and sealed it. He observed that no organisms could grow on broth. But when he opened the seal, colonies of microorganisms grew on broth. So, Pasteur concluded that growth of microorganisms was not spontaneous, but microorganisms grew if there was contamination from the air.
