Hint: We will first take out all the decimal numbers with 0 before the decimal because they are small by number with 1 before the decimal. Then, we will compare those numbers with each other to find the smallest according to their place value.

Complete step by step solution:
We are given that we are required to put 1.5, 0.25, 0.416, 0.75, 1.6, and 0.375 in order from smallest to biggest.
Now, let us understand the place value system:-
OnesTenthHundredthThousandth

Here, ones is the place for the number just before the decimal. After decimal, the first number is the tenth place, then the other is at the hundredth place and the last one is the thousandth place.
Now, let us write all the numbers in it as well:-
OnesTenthHundredthThousandth
15--
025-
0416
075-
16--
0375

We will first of all, compare the numbers in the ones place.
We see that the ones place has 1 in two of the numbers and 0 in all the other numbers.
Now, we will compare the numbers with 0 using the tenth place.
 Now, in tenth place we see that, 2 < 3 < 4 < 7.
Therefore, the smallest number is 0.25.
Therefore, the next number is 0.37, then the next one is 0.416 and the last one with 0 before decimal is 0.75.
Thus, we have looked out for numbers with 0 before decimals.
Now, let us look at numbers which have 1 before decimal.
At their tenth place, we see that 5 < 6.
Therefore, 1.5 < 1.6
Thus, we have the final sequence as 0.25 < 0.375 < 0.416 < 0.75 < 1.5 < 1.6.

Note: The students must note that we started comparing from the first place that is the ones place. It gets the highest priority as the main value of the number depends on it. So, numbers with 0 are smaller than numbers with 1 as ones.
The students must note that they must create the tables so that they have a clearer picture to observe all the numbers altogether and thus we have the required sequence.
