Hint: We first use unitary method to calculate number of eggs formed in 1 gram using unitary method. Then use conversion of kilograms to grams and use a unitary method to calculate the number of eggs that will be in 1kg.
* Unitary method helps us to calculate the value of a single unit by dividing the value of multiple units by the number of units given.
* Unitary method helps us to calculate the number of units by dividing the total value of multiple units by the value of a single unit.
* 1Kg contains 1000 grams
Complete answer:
We are given that mass of 1 egg \[ = 50\]g
We can also write this equation in another form
Number of eggs formed by 50g mass \[ = 1\]
Then using unitary method we can calculate number of eggs formed by 1 gram
Number of eggs formed by 1g mass \[ = \dfrac{1}{{50}}\] … (1)
Since we have to calculate number of eggs in 1 kg we will multiply the grams in equation (1) by 1000 as 1Kg contains 1000g
\[ \Rightarrow \]Number of eggs formed by 1000g mass \[ = \dfrac{1}{{50}} \times 1000\]
Cancel same factors from numerator and denominator
\[ \Rightarrow \]Number of eggs formed by 1000g mass \[ = 20\]
\[\therefore \]Number of eggs that will be 1kg are 20.
Note:
Many students make the mistake of not using the conversion of kilograms into grams and calculate using the unitary method directly which gives us the wrong answer. Keep in mind we have to have all the values in the same SI unit be it kilograms or grams but they should be the same unit then only we can cancel out values.
