Hint: Nucleoproteins as the name suggests are the proteins which are associated or bind with a nucleic acid either DNA or RNA. They are structurally linked with any nucleic acid. Nucleoproteins are synthesized in the cytoplasm of cells. When protein solution is mixed with a nucleic solution the phosphoric acid component of the nucleic acid is combined with the positively charged ammonium groups of the protein to form a protein- nucleic acid complex.

The cell nucleus mainly contains deoxyribonucleic acid DNA and the cytoplasm mainly contains RNA. Both parts of the cell also contain protein. Protein-nucleic acid complexes, therefore, form living cells. Nucleoproteins are found in the cytoplasm of any cell, as it is a conjugated protein. The protein combined with DNA is commonly either with histone or protamine resulting in nucleoprotein formation.
There are various types of nucleoproteins which are enveloped in a nucleoplasm. These are- 1) A ribonucleoprotein is a complex of RNA and RNA binding protein. These proteins play an integral part in a number of important biological functions such as transcription, translation and regulation of gene expression and metabolism of RNA. Same in the case of DNA.
2) Deoxyribonucleoprotein is a complex made from DNA and DNA binding protein complex. The functions which are carried by ribonucleoproteins are also involved in DNA nucleoproteins too.
Nucleoproteins tend to be positively charged, facilitating interaction with the negatively charged nucleic acid chains. The tertiary structures and functions of nucleoproteins are well understood. A ribonucleoprotein is a complex of ribonucleic acid. Few examples of RNPs are- ribosome, enzyme-telomerase.
