Hint:
The northern region of the India Nepal border is famously known as Sapta kosi. The sapt kosi flows downstream from Triveni and eventually into the Gangetic plains.

Complete Step by Step Answer:
The main rivers forming the Sapta Kosi system or the Seven Rivers system are – the Sun Kosi, the Indravati River, the Dudh Kosi, the Bhoté Koshi, Tamur River, Barun River, and the Arun River. The Sun Kosi contributes around 44 per cent of the total water in the Sapta Koshi system, the Arun contributes 37 per cent and the Tamur 19 per cent. These three are the major tributaries that meet at the Triveni.
The Arun is the largest Himalayan river that passes through Nepal and it has the largest snow -covered area than any other Nepalese river basin. The river leaves Tibet at a height of about 3,500 metres (11,500 ft) above the sea level and crosses many main Himalayan ranges. The northern one- third part of the Arun river basin supports a rich forest of hardwood trees like fir, pine, and rhododendron present at height of about 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) above sea level. The vegetation in the southern two-third parts of the river basin has been extensively modified for agriculture.

Thus, the correct answer is C.

Note:
The Kosi or Sapta Koshi river system drains eastern Nepal region. It is known as Saptakoshi because of the seven different rivers that join together in eastern region of Nepal to form this river. This combined river system flows through the Chatra Gorge southward and emerges from the hills.
