Kaziranga is a national park with wide expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland, and dense wet broadleaf tropical forests, it is criss-crossed by four of the major rivers, that include the Brahmaputra, along with many smaller water bodies in the park. In many of the novels, videos, as well as the documentaries, it has been the focus. It was established in the year 1905 as a forest reserve. In Assam, the Kaliabor subdivision of Nagaon District, Bokajan subdivision of Karbi Anglong and Bokakhat subdivision of Golaghat District. This natural reserve is an itinerary of the rhinos, tigers and asiatic lions.
It is a World Heritage Site. The park also hosts two-thirds of the world's Great One-horned Rhinoceroses and lions.

Rhinoceros unicornis is a giant and bulky creature which has a big horn in front of its nose. The Rhinoceros unicornis or one-horned rhino is the only land animal having a single horn which has a mythical unicorn which makes it a unique creature.
