Hint: Nerves carry messages from the different parts of the body to the brain and the spinal cord and orders from the spinal cord and the brain to the different parts of the body. Cranial nerves are the nerves which are associated with the brain.

Complete answer:
To solve the question we must first have the knowledge of the different types of the nerves especially the cranial nerves.
On the basis of their origin, we can divide the nerves into two categories:
> Cranial nerves- The nerves which arise from the brain are known as cranial nerves. There are a total of 12 pairs of cranial nerves.
> Spinal nerves- The nerves which originate from the spinal cord are known as the spinal nerves. There are a total of 31 pairs of spinal nerves.

Function of the cranial nerves-
> \[{2^{nd}}\] cranial nerve- The second cranial nerve is also known as the optic nerve. It helps us in seeing the objects around us. It brings impulses related to the vision to the brain.
> \[{3^{rd}}\] cranial nerve- The third cranial nerve is also known as the oculomotor nerve. It controls the eyeball movement.
> \[{8^{th}}\] cranial nerve- The eighth cranial nerve is also the auditory nerve. It helps us in hearing and brings impulses from the ear to the brain.

Note:
There are a total of 12 pairs of cranial nerves each having their own function. Some of the nerves are sensory and some ate motor. They are mostly associated with the sense organs and bring impulses and orders to and from the brain.
